The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Emer Costello and Cllr. Larry O'Toole, co-hosted a reception for Bohemian FC on Wednesday (17th February) to honour the club's achievements. Players, coaches, directors and staff of Bohemian FC were present in Dublin's Mansion House to hear the Lord Mayor and Cllr. O'Toole commend the club's contributions to the life of the capital city, which this year has been designated the European Capital of Sport.

Cllr O'Toole, a member of Dublin City Council and a long-time Bohemians supporter, praised the team not just for winning the league in 2009 but also for the manner in which they won it. He recalled the away match against Red Bull Salzburg and the recovery after defeat to Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght as highlights of the season, and he looked forward to a third consecutive league win.
