Vacant Homes - Call for A Special Task Force.

Cllr. Larry O'Toole has called for a Dublin City Council special task force to speed up the refurbishment and allocation of vacant council homes.

Cllr. O'Toole said, "There are thousands of families on the council housing waiting list - yet there still remain a number of homes that are vacant. I have called on Dublin City Council to set up a special task force to speed up the process whereby these homes are refurbished and allocated to families on the council waiting list. I want the council secure immediate funding from the Dept. of Environment and Housing to have these homes brought back into circulation".
