Sinn Fein representative and local election candidate Denise Mitchell speaking at today's picket on Minister Sean Haughey's office said "The Government decision to increase class sizes is a shameful attack on the children of the state and a betrayal of the Programme for Government commitment to reduce class sizes."
" Next week in the Dáil all TDs will have the opportunity to vote in favour of a reversal of the decision to increase class sizes. Sinn Fein is calling on all members of the Dáil to dispense with party politics and vote in support of our young people and their schools. "

Ms. Mitchell added, "Minister Haughey must stand by the commitment, included in the Programme for Government, to reduce class sizes."
